Phentermine!

Does anyone else apparently have a weight loss clinic right around the corner? I swear we must do a half-dozen Rx's/day for phentermine+citalopram from the same guy.

And when he wants generic Fastin, it's always Sandoz brand, not that we carry any others.

At least we finally got the walk-in clinic doctor to stop writing Phenergan w/Codeine #240mL to everyone who walked through the door. We called to verify an Rx from someone from out-of-state who saw him, and apparently he was writing 20-30 of them a day. He's an ex-orthopedic doctor, and apparently had no idea why he had a dozen people in his waiting room at a time all with a cough.

Yep, we have a diet clinic right around the corner, too. The first office visit it something like $250 plus each monthly visit. Ouch. And did you ever notice how people getting Adipex always use the drive thru, really makes you wonder *why* they're fat.

Our friendly neighborhood diet clinic Dr. wrote for boatloads of potassium (we were always short of Micro-K) Funny that Meridia was always available, but it was never covered.

In Florida it is not uncommon to see skinny people on phentermine and I will straight up get in their face about the dangers of chemical induced anorexia. Size zero is a marketing ploy by high end designers because research shows that if people think they are super skinny they are willing to drop some serious cash on couture. I dare you to go try on something vintage. You will find a drastic size discrepancy between your current size and the actual size of that vintage tag.

It is also a pain in the ass because in FL you have to have a new rx when the refills run out. No calls, faxes, or e-scribe acceptable. Do the responsible thing: change your diet and exercise instead of using the drive-thru you lazy ass!

And it's always a P.A. that writes it, and never the doctor himself...

Just to fill you in. That doctor new exactly why he had a dozen people in his waiting room with a cough. He just couldn't admit that to you.

I am a tech and I work in Utah... we do seriously at least 50 scripts a day for phentermine. About 75% of those customers are always super skinny, and I'm always shocked to see them come in month after month. What idiots think that this is a maintenance med, and how are these doctors not aware that their patients are going to drop dead from a heart attack any day?
