It seems we have a problem. She has repeatedly been getting both strengths of hydro and now she is lying. It is another case of pain patient turned addict. I hate this. We are manufacturing junkies because we have a great selection of pain pills from many manufacturers, multiple physicians that will write for anything, and pharmacists that just fill them because they don't care/don't have time to bother with it. This needs to stop. I am asking everyone in the medical system to be vigilant about addictive pain med prescriptions. These pills can kill just as easily as a loaded gun in a room of five year olds.
There is also a trend of prosecuting everyone in the case of overdose. The laws are being enforced and pharmacists and physicians can be brought in on criminal charges. We took an oath to do no harm and the way things are going we need to take that to heart no matter what the patient says.

Isn't it "contract time?"
When I first visited a certain oral surgeon, I had to sign a contract agreeing that I would not lose the controlled-substance prescriptions he might write for me, not lose the medications that issued from those prescriptions. Isn't it time for pharmacies to adopt this arrangement? As far as genuine losses are concerned, let water seek its own level. Let them fight it out with their doctors for a replacement.
The arguments that doctors and pharmacies are getting people hooked on dope can't just go on in the face of patients lying about their scripts and healthcare continuing to supply them with more drugs. Let the patients agree not to lie.

I'd bet a years wage this is no "pain patient" turned addict. This is just another goddamned addict causing everyone else problems and even worse, it's several doctors cashing in by being legal drug dealers. Good times.
Holy crap....if she was just taking the 10's alone, that's 12.5 a DAY. I take 3 10's a day, and it just about knocks me OUT - but without it I wouldn't be able to walk (several injuries to L4-L5, awaiting surgery w/o insurance). I take them so cautiously, no driving within 3 hours of taking them and absolutely no alcohol. If I took 12 a day (not to mention the 7.5's plus Tramadol), I would probably stop breathing in my sleep or something. This will likely be her fate if she keeps going down this road....
You're doing the right thing. Last week my teen sisters lost a friend of theirs because he ODed on prescription narcotics. We need every bit of help.
